In Scaffolding Writing, lines are used to represent words. The teacher scaffolds both the Play Planning process and children’s literacy development as they grow in their ability to draw and write their message. During Play Planning, children choose the center they will play in, make a verbal plan, and then represent their message by writing or drawing. I am confident that we can accomplish a great deal if we work together and have a common purpose.A major part of the Tools of the Mind Curriculum is Play Planning. The education of our children is one of the most important goals and requires a true team effort and shared decision making. Brick's past is our foundation, the future is opportunity.
